Activities

golf Leisure World® prides itself in offering a wide range of activities for varied interest; including card room, billiard room, ceramics studio, art studio, computer center, lawn bowling, and more. Amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming facilities. Additionally, Leisure World® has an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, and exercise facility. Three restaurants serve the community, with fine dining to casual choices. The auditorium (in Clubhouse II) offers movies, plays, musicals, concerts, lectures, and club meetings.

Medical Services

medicalA well-equipped Medical Center and full service pharmacy are available to all residents and offer a wide range of physicians, dentists and specialists. Telephoning the Medical Center for an appointment easily accesses these services. Emergency home visits by a registered nurse are available at the resident's expense.

  • clubhouseAmong the numerous services available at Leisure World® are a 24-hour security guard for controlled access and patrol.
  • There is an Interfaith Chapel where services of various faiths are held on a regular basis. A Catholic Church is located just outside the Norbeck Road gate.
  • Clubhouse I contains a restaurant, snack bar and hobby shops. Clubhouse II contains an indoor swimming pool, auditorium, bowling alley and exercise room.
  • Shuttle busses and Metro busses run on a regular schedule to area medical and shopping facilities.
  • There is a full-service shopping center at the main entrance known as Leisure World Plaza. Tenants include: Giant Food, various banks, restaurants, Weichert Realtors, a full service Post Office, banking, and many specialty shops. There is also a professional office building containing medical offices.
